Technology to change the classroom

Hi everyone this week I want to share with you some information about technology in the classroom and future teachers..
The use of technology in the classroom continues to be debated within the education community. Some think it’s a supplemental tool that should be used sparingly, while others believe technology will completely revolutionize how students learn. Depending on the types of technological innovations, both parties are right.
The next generation of teachers will use technology, but how they do and the benefits they reap will vary by district, school, grade level, and even classroom.The most important thing is:Teachers Need Training Before They Can Embrace Technology.
It’s not that teachers who don’t use technology are technophobic, or that they don’t want to use technology or embrace a blended-learning experience. Many teachers simply aren’t receiving the training they need. They might not understand how technology can help their classroom or what kind of skills are needed to implement it.
“The teachers who succeed in adding technology to their teaching usually spend their own time to figure out how to use new tools—sitting up late at night digging through YouTube videos and trolling Twitter chats etc.
• 90 percent of teachers feel technology is important for classroom success.
• 66 percent feel they need more training to integrate it into their classrooms.
• 38 percent learn about technology through their own time and research.
Without school, district, and state support for helping teachers grow their technology knowledge in the classroom, educators are left floundering or figuring it out themselves.

    Hello Sajmira. I like the information you shared with us. Once you say "teachers need training before embracing technology" I remember our teachers in high school that are not familiar with using technology in classrom. They are the first ones who needs training in order to use technology when teaching.

    Hi Sajmira . The information you decided to share with us helped me a lot . It is true that technology will be applied by the next generation of teachers and it is already being used, but technology is not everything , it comes to the teacher how interesting and interactive their class will be.

    This information was really useful and indeed teachers need to become more familiar with technology in order to use it right as the new generation will be more technological however we should not forget the essence of it all that is transmitting the knowledge . Thank you for sharing this. ^^

The Latest Technology Used in Classrooms Today Hi future teachers,  this week I want to share with you a useful information about many new technologies being used in classrooms today: social networking, online teaching, class blogs and wikis, podcasting, interactive whiteboards, and mobile devices. There are many ways in which we can benefit from the new technologies being developed today. For one, new technologies make distance learning easier. It also allows for faster feedback and improved collaborative efforts between large groups of people.
